Job Function

You will be working within the development team to enhance the flagship integrated software and perform maintenance on legacy products. The role is pivotal to the success of the products by ensuring that development items and bug fixes meet the requirements of the road map and stakeholders.
You will also be working with internal stakeholders to ensure the optimum user experience is delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code
• Implement performant and quality modules
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automatization
• Document any fixes or enhancements.

Skills

• Core skills for this position are C++ and SQL.
• Knowledge of the latest C++11 standard is appreciated.
• A good understanding of concurrency and usage of Threads/Mutexes/etc.
• Knowledge of modern HTML/JS/CSS would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Adobe Coldfusion would be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Apache/IIS web servers would be an advantage..

Reporting to the Support Team Leader, the Customer Services Team consists of Customer Service Advisors (first and second line), Technical Support Data Analysts (first and second line), Technical Client Managers and Team Leaders.
The Customer Support Team is responsible for managing customer issues through to resolution, the management of regular service pack and project releases, as well as internal support management

Responsibilities
• Be the senior point of escalation - handle complex and difficult issues to achieve prompt resolution.
• Responsible for the management/co-ordination of all assigned calls and tickets throughout the support and remediation lifecycle including providing the customer with timely and accurate updates.
• Providing customers with product usage advice and guidance.
• Identifying and managing the appropriate priorities and required actions (e.g. escalation).
• Running SQL scripts on MS SQL Servers.
• Writing SQL scripts to correct data.
• Have strong SQL skills, being able to write complex queries in an appropriate way.
• Have strong SQL Infrastructure/Administration skills.
• Providing updates and detailed product release information.
• Collating product enhancement suggestions.
• Contribute to the attainment of internal and external KPI and SLA compliance
• Communicate regularly with team members through team meetings and individual review sessions.
• Contribute to the maintenance of product release notes and the distribution of product manuals.
• Help maintain and manage the central knowledge base libraries for the benefit of the team and the standardization of responses to customer.

Skills & Experience

Essential


• Applicants should have good IT skills including experience of Microsoft Windows (XP, 2K3, Vista & Windows 7), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio) and good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2K/2K5/2K8/2K12 Server.
• A proven track record in providing excellent Customer Support and Service
• Excellent client facing skills and experience to ensure relationships are kept strong.
• Experience in support system and ticket management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all business levels.
• An excellent ability to prioritise
• The ability to work under pressure

Our client, a leading manufacturer of consumer products in the Midlands, has an urgent vacancy for an Operations Manager / General Manager.


The Role:


Reporting directly to the Managing Director this position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Warehouse/Transport/IT /Inventory functions as well as having overall responsibility for the site management. 

Responsibilities:

This person will have overall responsibility for;• The complete warehousing/logistics function within the business – this includes the company’s in-house fleet of vehicles• Stock Control/Inventory within the company• The IT function across the business• Full facilities management of a large site

Key competencies:

The candidate will ideally• Be process and system driven – this person needs to be able to work within existing systems in the business whether this be IT, Inventory, Warehouse or Logistics. Specific system knowledge is not essential• Have strong IT experience – PHP programming knowledge would be useful but not essential. The company operates Sage 1000• Be able to set and manage the operational strategy of the site in conjunction with the Management Team, foster a strong team ethos and have the ability to drive process improvements• Demonstrate skills in working collaboratively and encouraging high performance through teamwork• Display a proven track record of delivering results and persistence when faced with challenges

Requirements:

A minimum of five years of experience in the technical development of MS CRM Dynamics projects
