Job Summary

Whilst the core activity of this role is developing software, the job holder will also be required to apply and continue developing skills in other areas of development, particularly researching and defining requirements, systems design, user interface design, coding, systems build and hand-over.


1. Take high level requirements and translate these to a software design, using own skills and, where appropriate, the skills and experience of other team members.
2. Agree design with Team Leader, ensuring good fit with the work of other team members.
3. Implement design to timescales agreed with Team Leader.
4. Design and implementation of graphical user interfaces
5. Design and write unit tests to cover new functionality
6. Provide support to the QA team when code moves through to testing phase.
7. Any other duties as required from time to time.

Technical Skills & Experience

Essential skills:
- 18m - 2 years commercial software development experience
- C#
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- UI Design and implementation

Desirable skills:
- JQuery, Bootstrap, Knockout, Angular JS
- NUnit, NMock for automated testing
- T-SQL with MS SQL Server
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies
- Experience of Client Server development (n-tier)
- Asynchronous programming (.NET 4.5)
- IIS hosting and deployment
- HTTP authentication and security

Our client is looking for a Full Stack Python Developer / Technical Lead to join an expanding team at either their Warwickshire office or their new offices in Hampshire.

Our client is a global leader in their field and one of the fastest growing companies in their sector, and they are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Python developer to join an expanding development team as the hands-on technical lead on an exciting new project. Previous experience developing web applications (full stack) is essential.

As technical lead you will be expected to make informed architectural choices that ensure the software you develop will be robust and maintainable for years to come.


• At least four years’ experience developing web applications (full stack).
• At least two years’ Python programming experience.
• Experience in a senior or technical lead position.
• Technically hands-on and an effective team leader.
• Demonstrable software design skills.
• Experience with a Python based server side framework, e.g. Django.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks, e.g. JQuery or AngularJS.
• Expert knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS 3.
• Experience developing responsive solutions.
• A strong automated regression testing ethos.
• Knowledge and regular use of automated regression testing frameworks at each level of the stack.
• Knowledge and regular use of source control.

Desirable but not essential:
• Development experience using the following technologies: PostgreSQL, Karma/Jasmine, REST, Mercurial.

Our multi-award-winning, market-leading software house client has an urgent vacancy for a Project Consultant.

*For this role it will be possible to work from home -so 4 days on the road with 1 day working at home. You would be expected to go into the office once or twice per month

The Implementation Services Team consists of Project Managers and Project Consultants.  The Implementation Services function is responsible for providing software implementations to a high standard within agreed timescales, budget and scope. 

The Implementation Services team is responsible for managing customer projects from contract signature through to go live, as well as some internal business change projects.

Reporting into the Implementation Services Manager, you will be a key member of the project delivery team working on package application implementations.
Delivery of the product encompasses primarily consultancy setting up the system and assisting with the customers change management in implementing the solution, sometimes alongside a dedicated Project manager, but often working alone and doing some element of project management as well. Ideally we are looking for someone with experience of system implementation consultancy with strong training and project management skills.

You will need to be a self-starter, willing to work hard and be able to fit in well with a small team.  You will responsible for the successful delivery of projects based on both internal and client metrics.

• Have experience in delivering consultancy or system configuration.
• Have experience in delivering end user system training.
• Have experience in customer business process analysis and requirements gathering
• Have experience in delivering package software implementation projects – including configuration of systems
• Have experience in delivering custom development software projects.
• Experience in the delivery of client facing mid to large (£50-500k, 6 - 18 month) complex projects.
• Be competent with project planning using Microsoft Project.
• Excellent client facing skills and experience to ensure relationships are kept strong.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all business levels.
• The ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions and decision makers.
• Have a full clean driving license.

Our client is a respected market leader and they are currently looking for an Information Security Manager

Purpose of the role
The purpose of the Information Security Manager role is to bring Our client’s information security risks under explicit management control through the Information Security Management System (“ISMS”).
The Information Security Manager will help towards certification and compliance with ISO27001, and continue to manage its Information Security Management System following certification.
You will be responsible to the Director of IT as well as liaising with and reporting to: the Information Security Forum- ISF and the Chief Information Security Officer- CISO.

Person specification
Key characteristics and competencies of the ideal candidate:
  • a degree or equivalent qualification and/or Information Security Management qualifications.
  • hands-on leadership and management experience.
  • a good understanding of Information Security and, ideally, the application of ISO27001.
