Reporting into one of the Development Team Leaders, Senior Web Developers are responsible for designing, developing, modifying and maintaining the range of Web applications / Software products.
To become a key member of the Development team you will need to have strong development skills, be hard working and be able to fit in well with a small team.

Responsibilities

To understand the industry requirements of the customer base and develop a thorough understanding of how those requirements are met by product range.
To propose and assess solutions to design problems, including identifying and evaluating new technologies and third party components.
To develop software according to published standards and guidelines, including coding standards and user interface design guidelines.
To support and maintain existing software functionality; to investigate, analyse and correct identified defects within established service level agreements.
To develop software to meet requirements / specifications in accordance with the development schedule.
To investigate existing software functionality to answer support queries within established service level agreements.
To interpret written business requirements and technical specifications to complete estimates for change requests within the established service level agreements.

Essential

At least five years’ continual commercial experience developing Web Applications in C# or VB.Net
Web development experience in ASP.Net MVC
Knowledge of Web API and API design
Experience with unit testing
Experience of using JavaScript frameworks
Front-end development experience with CSS3 and HTML
Good working knowledge of T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server (2008 onwards) and relational database design
Ability to write and optimize T-SQL queries
Experience of Object Oriented programming practices
An awareness of security concerns
An understanding of security considerations when designing and developing public-facing applications.

Duties & Responsibilities: To be involved in the Customer Service Team, delivering application management service to the customers. The Application Management Engineer implements and runs best practices, techniques and procedures essential to a deployed application's optimal operation, performance and efficiency throughout the Software platform. To be responsible for assisting in the support of custom applications, monitoring critical logs, and working directly with users to troubleshoot and support incidents regarding custom applications and systems issues. Follow-up with users and support staff as needed on requests and problem tickets. Reporting and follow-up for service management, including incident management, problem management, and release management. Liaison among users, technical support and development teams. Work directly with the technical and development teams to resolve issues. On-call production support and maintenance required for support applications. Leveraging your problem solving skills, you will work, in collaboration with the software  team, on a wide variety of Business & Technical issues in a fast pace environment that is managed using ITIL methodology. You will report to the Customer Services Manager.
 
 
Your role includes:
·         To understand the technical & business architecture of the solutionsystem monitoring script.
·         Applications monitoring: monitors critical logs and systems. Manage exceptions and fix data and systems engaging with the Business Consultant and System Engineers.
·         On call support: overnight / early morning production on-call support and application management of  the platform.
·         To work directly with Clients and the Customer Service team to troubleshoot and support incidents regarding custom applications and systems issues.
·         To assist in the project team charged with the implementation of   the software at clients’ sites, more specifically the technical and data integration between the software and other financial applications
·         To participate in regular customer Service status meetings
·         To validate and keep the customer environments up-to-date (internally and customer)
 
 
 Requirements:
·         Degree in IT, or equivalent through experience
·         Very Good verbal and written communication skills in English
·         Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with Microsoft/Unix-based systems
·         Minimum 2/3 years’ experience in IT application support services
·         Infrequent travel to multiple facilities, UK and further afield
·         On-call support for production in extended business hours

Responsibilities

Work with User Groups to define and prioritise feature requests and scope service packs.

Conduct User Acceptance Testing with customers.
Understand the implications of changes on budgets and timescales, make cost/benefit judgments, and set customers’ expectations.
*The role involves some travel to customer sites UK wide (but in practice current BA’s have been predominately been office based) and infrequent overnight stays.

Building on the Customer Account Manager role described below, the Key Account Manager will have the same role, however the accounts under their supervision will potentially be more complex or have a very specific industry vertical.

This will involve the additional responsibility of becoming an industry specialist, staying current by subscribing to multiple publications or streams of information around the vertical. Relevant information will then be put into regular communication with the marketing team that will be sent to the customers these impacts.

Our client builds long term relationships with their customers, providing business process solutions using Microsoft Dynamics Software (NAV & CRM). Once the customer is up and running a Customer Account Manager is assigned to be the first point of contact in all areas except technical support. The role incorporates many different contact points but primarily it is to provide a voice for the customer within the company and deliver the most long-term value from the solution for the customer.

Key skills, attributes and experiences:

• Account management experience ideally within software licencing
• NAV knowledge/experience
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to use corporate language
• To be able to demonstrate relationship building and nurturing skills at a high management / board level
• Experience of sales and working with sales executives at appropriate stages of the sales cycle and the ability to spot opportunities
• Ability to learn different industry buzz words and language
• Ability to handle multiple enquiries simultaneously
• Experience of using a CRM system
• To have an excellent understanding of IT
• Experience or understanding of software licences
• Extremely strong administrative support required including all Microsoft Suite

The Sales team currently consists of three field based Business Development Managers and two office based Business Development Co-Ordinators.  The Sales team is fully responsible for turning leads generated by the Marketing team into sales orders.  Each Business Development Manager also has an allocated set of accounts they are responsible for managing, in addition to managing their sales pipeline.
