The role will include:

- Review and analysis of client specifications
- Estimation and production of development proposals
- Building new software in line with client specifications
- Performing solution testing to ensure system integrity
- Servicing defect management activities
- Working within a Scrum team

Our client will train the successful candidate in:
- Development using Intersystems IRIS/Cache/Ensemble technology platform
- Industry business practices
- Agile development practices
- Configuration Management & Continuous Integration
- Atlassian JIRA Issue Management

Required Skills

- Up to 5 years' full stack development experience in an OO environment ideally with skills in HTML/JavaScript/SQL/JSP/Web Services (SOAP).
 - Previous experience with automated software testing tools would be an advantage.

Our client is looking to expand the Business Intelligence and Reporting team in order to continue to offer a high level of service to their client base and expand this consulting stream out to the wider areas of the Power Platform.

Responsibilities

This role is a hybrid role consisting of providing Power Platform first-line support and secondly providing BI & Reporting consulting services to our clients. You will be responsible for: 
Providing first-line support for the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and Power Virtual Agents) 
Assisting in presales questions to best match our capabilities with client’s needs
Estimating the time required to complete specified tasks
Developing ‘prebuilt’ solutions for common requests based on Power BI 
Developing solutions for common requests based on Jet Reports/Analytics
Constructing and testing solutions for specified tasks
Advising and assisting clients with acceptance testing and data preparation
Training the user’s community on using our solutions (where required)
Ensure we use accurate and secure methods to extract data 
Our client is a Microsoft Partner specialising in the Dynamics Business Application set. As most of the BI and Reporting will be against these applications, they expect you to gain detailed knowledge of their data structures (training will be provided).
They use Microsoft Power BI as the foundation for the solution they develop but due to client preference, Microsoft Excel is also a reporting tool in frequent use. You will be provided training on both products and a willingness to improve and maintain that proficiency is required.  You’ll also be expected to learn Jet Reports and Jet Analytics (reporting tools specifically built to work with Microsoft Dynamics).

Ultimately, you’ll help to support and contribute to an expanding area of consulting within the business.


Requirements

Experience as a Support Consultant or similar role 
Good communication and listening skills
Strong problem solving skills
Good Excel skills 
Familiarity with our industry verticals is desirable 
Experience using business intelligence tools (like Tableau and Microsoft Power BI) is desirable

An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic part-time Product Designer designer with a friendly and ambitious software company based in central London, a 10 minute walk from Angel Tube, great canal-side location. (Working remotely has been the norm for the entire staff since the pandemic began.)


The Job


The successful candidate will join the agile software development team as a missionary product designer and will come to play a key role in ensuring that they deliver great software to customers.
This Product Designer role will mostly have UI aspects but there will be some UX work too. Working in "three-in-a-box" together with the Product Manager and the Head of Technology will be a regular aspect of the job.
This position is for two days a week on a permanent basis.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a self-disciplined, conscientious person who has a great eye for design and love following design trends across the industry. The perfect candidate is someone who is looking for a long term opportunity with room to grow their engagement with the product.
They will have great communication skills, be inquisitive and curious, with a nose for designing fantastic looking products that are a joy to use.
They will ideally have at least five years of experience working as a UI or UX designer on both web-based and mobile-based applications.
They are expected to show a portfolio of web and mobile designs across multiple channels.
